Investigators have identified two men believed to be responsible for a shooting on Earhart Boulevard on Thursday afternoon that injured a 2-year-old girl and her father, and they are now wanted on attempted-murder charges, New Orleans police said.

The victims were in a borrowed vehicle in the 8800 block of Earhart (near Eagle Street) around 3:30 p.m. Thursday when another vehicle pulled up on the shoulder of the road, pointed a gun and began shooting it, according to a NOPD news release. Investigators identified 22-year-old Bernard Baker and 26-year-old Earl Green as suspects, and have secured warrants for their arrest on charges of attempted first-degree murder.

Anyone who knows their whereabouts is urged to call Second District detectives at 658-6020 or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111.
