After a man was threatened at knife point in robbery attempt Sunday afternoon at the edge of downtown and Central City, he followed his attacker and identified him for New Orleans police, leading to an arrest in the case, authorities said.

The robbery took place at Loyola Avenue and Calliope Street around 5:15 p.m., when a man in his early 40s was approached by a stranger with a knife who demanded his wallet, according to the initial police report. The suspect fled, however, but the victim followed him and identified him, and police were able to arrest Naim Hunter, 29, in the case.

Hunter is charged with armed robbery and being held on a $75,000 bond, according to jail records.

  1. Good man! 🙂

  2. Great job! He took a chance that the thug would not turn around and attack him again.
