New Orleans police are looking for a man in his 50s who goes by “Shorty” who may have been the last person to see a west-Carrollton shooting victim alive last month, authorities said.
“Shorty” is believed to frequent Don’s Food Mart on Eagle Street, police said. He is not a suspect in the Feb. 13 death of 39-year-old Gerald Robinson on Cohn Street; investigators simply want to talk to him, the NOPD news release states.
[Update, 3 p.m. Thursday: The pictured man spoke to homicide detectives and was later released, said NOPD Officer Frank Robertson III.]
