Weather officials warned of street flooding and scattered power outages were reported Friday morning across the city as a strong thunderstorm passed over the New Orleans area.

The National Weather Service issued the flash-flood warning at 10:33 a.m., lasting until 2 p.m., warning of heavy rain of up to two inches that could cause street flooding too dangerous to drive through.

Entergy reported 77 customers without power in the Fontainebleau area and 11 more on Broadway Street in Uptown. More than 100 were without power in the North Carrollton area and toward the Fairgrounds, and the largest outage of nearly 2,000 customers was in the Seventh Ward, the utility’s maps show.
