Around 9:20 p.m. Monday, a man was walking near Coliseum and Terpsichore streets in the Lower Garden District when a man on a bicycle pedaled up to him with a gun and said, “You know what time it is,” according to the initial police report. The victim handed over $105 in cash, and the gunman left, the report states.
Shortly before midnight, a man in his 30s was walking near South Claiborne and First Street when a stranger pushed him into an alleyway and said, “If you move I’ll shoot you,” according to the initial report in that case. The first assailant held the victim while a woman took everything out of his pockets, the report states. The attackers then took the cash out of his wallet, threw the wallet and his phone over a fence, and left, the report states.
