Oh my, as a Chicagoan whose maternal lineage traces from N.O. through 3 generations, these are the things that brighten the gray, cold, gloomy days up here in the Tundra Midwest–recently rechristened “Chiberia” by the press as our subzero temps and 2-1/2 feet of snow made our weather worse than Siberia–for me. Beautiful Crescent! Just when everyone else is getting down in the dumps with the Post-Xmas blues your joy of life plunges into another party with the Twelfth Night and the beginning of Mardi Gras. SO HOMESICK for my darlin New Orleans!
