A broken heating system amid projected record low temperatures will close the Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orleans’ campus on South Claiborne Avenue on Tuesday, school officials said.
The closure only affects students on the Claiborne campus, and officials hope to have students back in class by Wednesday. For details, see the message from Lycee principal Keith Bartlett:
Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orleans’ Claiborne Campus will be closed Tuesday, January 7 due to malfunctioning heating units. Classes will be held as usual at the Patton Campus and at the Audubon Zoo Campus.
We expect the situation to be corrected in time for classes to resume on the Claiborne Campus on Wednesday, January 8. We will update our Lycée families tomorrow.
