The victims were 15- and 18 years old, and both of them were hit in their hips with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, said NOPD Officer Hilal Williams. The shooting was in the 2700 block of Jackson Avenue around 6:30 p.m.

Around 10:30 p.m., a 44-year-old woman was killed and her 4-year-old grandson wounded in a shooting in New Orleans East, and another man was shot in the leg in near the Desire development around 2 a.m.
On Monday morning, a man was shot to death on North Dupre Street in Bayou St. John.
