The victim was at home in the 8800 block of Belfast around 8:30 p.m. when he answered a knock at the door and the man outside forced his way in with a black semiautomatic handgun, according to the initial police report. The gunman demanded his money, then took the victim’s wallet from his pocket and left in an unknown direction, according to the report.
The gunman is described as a black man with dreadlocks wearing blue jeans, a red shirt and a blue hat, the report states.
In another weekend robbery, a 40-year-old man working in the 3700 block of South Roman Street was approached by a man with a gun around 10:30 a.m. Friday and forced to give up his wallet, the report states.
