A woman was hit with a gun and robbed of her car keys Saturday evening on Baronne Street near Felicity in Central City, New Orleans police said.

The woman got out of her vehicle in the 1800 block of Baronne shortly after 8:15 p.m. Saturday, and a man hit her in the head with a gun, according to the initial police report. She fell to the ground, and the man kicked her, took her keys and left, the report states.

No further details were immediately available. Anyone with information is urged to call the NOPD Sixth District at 658-6060 or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111.

Two other incidents classified as simple robberies — often, robberies committed without the use of a weapon — were also reported this weekend around 4 p.m. Friday at Louisiana and St. Charles and around 3 p.m. near South Liberty and Soniat, but reports were not available for those incidents Monday morning.
