American Apparel on Magazine Street was the target of shoplifters on two different occasions last week, but photos of the suspects were captured on surveillance cameras each time, and New Orleans police are seeking the public’s help in identifying them.
The first shoplifting incident took place around 3:15 p.m. Aug. 18, and a single woman was captured in the surveillance images, according to NOPD reports. The second shoplifting happened three days later, around 1 p.m. Aug. 21, and a group of three women were photographed, the police reports state.
“The two incidents are believed to be unrelated at this time and involve different suspects,” wrote NOPD Sixth District Detective Jeffrey Yount in his report on the incident.
The suspects in each case, however, are also “suspected in numerous other incidents,” the report states.
Anyone who can help identify the women is urged to call Sixth District detectives at 658-6060.
