In Friday’s case, the 20-year-old victim was walking in the 3900 block of Louisiana Avenue Parkway (just off Toledano and Broad) around 3 p.m. when he was approached by two men who pointed their guns at him and demanded his property, the initial report states. He gave them his wallet and two cell phones, and they left, the report states.
Shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday, a 33-year-old man was walking home in the 2100 block of Napoleon Avenue (near Samuel Square park) when two men approached him asking for a cigarette, the report states. When he said he didn’t have one, one of the strangers pulled a knife and demanded his belongings, and they began to struggle, the report states. The victim was stabbed in the left shoulder and had several cuts to his face, and was subsequently listed in stable condition at the hospital, the report states.
In an unrelated case, a 38-year-old woman was charged with cutting a man Saturday evening in Central City, police said. Veronica Lang got into an argument with a 35-year-old acquaintance around 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of Third Street (near the corner of Danneel), and Lang stabbed the victim in the “left pinky finger,” the initial report states. The victim was treated on scene and a warrant was issued for Lang’s arrest.
