Four men were arrested after a drug bust where two guns were seized in Gert Town, and another man was arrested with marijuna, cocaine and a loaded gun in an unrelated traffic stop in the Hollygrove area over the weekend, authorities said.

The Gert Town case stemmed from a tip that drugs were being sold in the 3500 block of Audubon Street (a few blocks on the lake side of Earhart Boulevard), according to NOPD news release. Four men — 24-year-old Jerome Leblanc, 21-year-old Brandon Jones, 21-year-old Gus Singleton and 23-year-old Deshawn Jones — were arrested, and investigators found 30.5 grams of marijuana, two foils of heroin, two handguns, $741 in cash and drug paraphernalia, the release states.

All four were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of a gun with narcotics, and other charges, the release states. Leblanc and Deshawn Jones were also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Deshawn Jones was booked Friday, according to jail records. Booking photos of Leblanc, Singleton and Brandon Jones were unavailable Tuesday afternoon.

The Hollygrove drug bust was Saturday in the 3200 block of Joliet (about a block on the lake side of Earhart), and led to the arrest of 28-year-old Braeion Henderson on gun and drug charges, according to a NOPD news release:

On Saturday June 1st, 2013, 2nd District Officer J. Castelin and Sgt. J. Dupree, conducted a traffic stop of Braeion Henderson. During the stop Sgt. Dupree observed two bags of Marijuana totaling 2g and one a bag that contained Crack Cocaine that weighed 2g as well as a fully loaded 9mm pistol next to the console of the vehicle. The investigation revealed the firearm to be stolen during a Burglary from Jefferson Parish.

Mr. Henderson was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with a CDS, and Possession of Stolen Property, and Traffic Charges.
