Around 8:15 p.m. March 11, the armed-robbery victim was hit by an unknown object and knocked to the ground while walking in the 800 block of Cadiz (between Magazine and Constance), according to a NOPD news release. Two men approached, one armed with a handgun, and took a a wallet with $40 cash and credit cards from the victim, then left on foot, the release states.

Meanwhile, investigators have cleared two recent unarmed robberies.
On March 10, one victim was near the basketball courts in the 2300 block of Valence (two blocks off Freret) around 9 p.m., when he was approached from behind by three men, according to a NOPD report. They put the victim on the ground and took his iPhone and headphones away, then took off, the report states. Police developed a teen as a suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, police said.
On Feb. 10, a woman walking in the intersection of South Claiborne and Delachaise was hit in the face by a man who then took her purse and left on foot, authorities said at the time. Detective Baldwin developed 46-year-old Daryl Harrell as a suspect, and he was later arrested on a charge of simple robbery.
