A 21-year-old man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting about a block from the busy intersection of Washington Avenue and Broad Street in the Hoffman Triangle area, police said.
Kendall Williams was found on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of Washington at 2:22 p.m., shot several times to the face and and pronounced dead on scene, according to a NOPD news release. Another man, known only as “Kman or “Caveman,” was shot to the leg and left the scene, and investigators are now hoping to identify and locate him to talk more about what happened, the news release states.
Police also released a surveillance video of the shooting in which the gunman can be seen for a moment around the 30-second mark.
The investigation is being led by Homicide Detective Gregory Hamilton. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
