Local actress Laura Cayouette of the Academy Award-winning film Django Unchained joins the Loyola Film Buffs Institute and the New Orleans Film Society for a special Q&A followed by a screening of the Quentin Tarantino presentation: Hell Ride on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Loyola.
About the event: Cayouette (who plays Leonardo DiCaprio’s sister, Lara Lee Candie-Fitzwilly, in Django Unchained) will discuss her recent role, how fellow actors can make the most out of their career, the New Orleans film industry as a whole, and her new book Know Small Parts: An Actor’s Guide to Turning Minutes into Moments & Moments into a Career. The book, which contains a foreword written by Academy Award-winner Richard Dreyfuss and praise by Hollywood insiders, is a how-to guide offering insight into everyday situations actors will face.
Following the Q&A there will be a screening of the Quentin Tarantino presentation: Hell Ride, a biker movie starring Dennis Hopper, Michael Madsen, and David Carradine, which Cayouette produced and also starred in.
