A 12-year-old girl was raped by a male relative in the 3800 block of General Pershing Street in Broadmoor, authorities said.
The incident appeared on crime maps as having been reported around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, and NOPD spokesman Garry Flot said the victim’s attacker was a “known male.” Her 18-year-old cousin was subsequently arrested after the victim reported the incident to her mother and a teacher, according to an article by Ramon Antonio Vargas of The Times-Picayune.
