Man wounded in shooting on Danneel Street in Central City

A man was wounded in a shooting in the 2900 block of Danneel Street just before 2:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.

The victim was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right thigh, and detectives were headed there to conduct interviews, said Officer Frank Robertson III, a department spokesman. The victim was listed in stable condition.
