Friends and family of attorney Sandy Kaynor, who was critically wounded three months ago when he was shot during a carjacking attempt in his driveway at Camp and Delachaise streets, are hosting another fundraiser Thursday (Jan. 17) to help defray his ongoing medical costs, they announced.

The $50-per person fundraiser will run from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at F&M Patio Bar, 4841 Tchoupitoulas St. A painting by local artist Sarah Ashley Longshore will also be auctioned off. For more details, see the following announcement from the organizers:


Father, friend, and champion of his beloved adopted home of New Orleans, Uptown resident Sandy Kaynor was shot during an attempted robbery and critically injured October 2, 2012.   He will require extensive rehabilitation and life-long medical care.  100% of the proceeds from the evening will go to the  KAYNOR FAMILY MEDICAL AND CHILDREN’S EDUCATIONAL TRUST
