In Friday’s robbery, a man and a woman both in their 20s were near Eighth and Magazine Street around 1 a.m. when they were approached by a stranger wielding a plastic shotgun, demanding money, the initial police report states. They began to struggle, and a second attacker joined the fray, stabbing the male victim several times, for which he was later treated at the hospital and listed in stable condition, the report states.
The second attacker was also cut in the fight, and investigators were able to follow a blood trail that he left to find him, the report states. Thomas R. Warren, 22, was arrested on two counts of attempted armed robbery and a single count of aggravated battery.

The man was caught on surveillance footage inside the bar, and anyone who can identify him should call the Sixth District station at 658-6060 or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111.
