The Jefferson City Buzzards, whose ceremonial Fat Tuesday march through Uptown New Orleans dates back 120 years, will “dress up” to rehearse their walk Sunday afternoon with stops at a number of neighborhood watering holes.

The Buzzards will begin their march at 2 p.m. at their hall on Annunciation Street (near Domilise’s Po-Boy shop) and then head down Annunciation to Grits Bar, over to Tchoupitoulas to 45 Tchoup and back up Napoleon to Ms. Mae’s. From there, they will stop at 818 Jena Street, then head down Constance to Valence, then up Magazine to Le Bon Temps Roule, Henry’s Bar, Poydras Home and Monkey Hill. The last leg of the march is back down Tchoupitoulas to Frankie & Johnny’s before heading back to the hall around 5 p.m.
