Four people, including a man in his 70s, were bound with tape and robbed by intruders Tuesday morning in a Central City home, according to police reports. An armed robbery and a shooting were also reported in Gert Town this week, the reports show.

The four victims in the Central City case — a 71-year-old man, a 62-year-old woman, a 35-year-old woman and one other woman — were inside a home in the 2300 block of St. Andrew Street around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when two men entered the residence and taped their hands up, according to the initial police report. The intruders took $200 and an iPhone and left, the report states.

The armed robbery in Gert Town was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of South Clark Street, when a 28-year-old man on a bicycle was approached by two strangers, one of whom had a gun, the initial report states. The robbers knocked the victim off his bicycle and demanded his money, and they left after he turned it over, the report states.

The shooting took place around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 3300 block of Fern, where two men were walking when a white Chrysler drove up, the report states. A man came out of the sunroof and began firing on the victims, hitting one on the right side of his body and the other on his right thigh, the report states. Both were treated for their injuries, the report states.

No further details, such as descriptions of the suspects, were available in any of the initial reports.
