The Carrolton Area Network will be hosting their 6th Annual Caroling at Palmer Park, New Orleans, on December 16th, from 6–8 p.m. The Arts Market of New Orleans and several local businesses in the immediate vicinity of the park are sponsoring the event. Caroling at Palmer Park is a sing along event modeled after the famous Jackson Square Caroling. This year Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church Choir will lead the gathering in the signing of the Carols. Song books and candles will be provided.

Non-perishable food items will be collected along with fund raising efforts that will directly benefit the Second Harvester Food Bank of Greater New Orleans. Visitors can purchase hot chocolate, hotdogs, pop corn and other items where profits will be directly donated to our local food bank to help fill their pantry. Cookies, soft drinks, and eggnog will be available for a donation to the Food Bank. New Orleans own Krewe of Nyx will be present.

“We are pleased and proud to be a part of such an effort on behalf of such a worthy cause,” said Pete Frey, President of Take 5 Oil Change, one of the sponsors. “It is important to us to be a leader and make a contribution in the community.”

Since the passing of Hurricane Katrina, Carrollton Area Network along with numerous sponsors has hosted events at Palmer Park to build fellowship and community in the Carrolton Area., while also raising funds and donations that are critical to our community. Local leaders, news providers, customers, and friends are invited to come out and support this momentous event!
