For holiday shoppers seeking an alternative to long lines, canned holiday tunes, fast food and mass-produced products, the Arts Market of New Orleans offers two days of local art, food and music this weekend in Palmer Park.

Think outside the (big) box this Weekend at the 2 day Arts Market of New Orleans. From stocking stuffers, to awe inspiring original gifts, there’s nothing you won’t find from our local and regional Fine Artists & Craftspeople. We’ll have different artists each day, and don’t forget all the fabulous food, live music and activities for kids.

Look for Project Create now coordinating the Kid’s Activity Tent. Jordan Frankel and his staff will keep the kiddos crafting from 10:30AM – 3:30PM over by the playground area.

While browsing all the amazing eateries at the Market, be sure to stop by on Saturday and welcome Chef Lorie and Bon Vivant Catering back to the Arts Market. We’ve missed your Cochon de lait.

Live Music: We have a pair of fabulous bands this weekend, beginning with Some Like It Hot, with sets on Saturday from 1-2PM and 2:30-3:30 PM.
Sunday, the band Bone will keep things rocking also from 1-2PM and 2:30-3:30 PM. Bone members include Market Artist Kevin Murphy, and John Odell, husband of Fiber Artist Annie Odell.

Coming to Palmer Park
6th Annual Carrollton Caroling, December 16th, 2012 @ 6:00 PM
Rejoice the season with singing led by Matar Dolorosa Catholic Church Choir. There will be songbooks and candles available, with cookies & Eggnog too!

Bring non-perishable foods & donations to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Food will be for sale by Vendors, with part of those proceeds also to benefit Second Harvest.
