Loyola University will host “Oktoberfest-Opera’s Greatest Drinking Songs” at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 25) with wine and beer to follow.

Loyola Opera Workshop will present an evening of opera excerpts,
collectively titled “Oktoberfest – Opera’s Greatest Drinking Songs,”
this Thursday night, Oct. 25, at 7:30pm in Monroe Hall’s Nunemaker Auditorium.
The cost is $8 (free for Loyola students, staff and faculty). Carol Rausch is the music director/pianist, and David Morelock the stage director for scenes from
The Student Prince,The Merry Widow, The Abduction from the Seraglio,
Lucrezia Borgia, La Traviata, Martha, Cavalleria Rusticana, La Perichole,
Cosi fan tutte, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Gigi, La Rondine and Die Fledermaus
The program will be under 90 minutes, and will be followed by a reception on the 2nd floor of Roussel Hall with wine and beer – come celebrate the season!
