It’s sad to see another young man, regardless of color, derail his future by making an unwise and insane decision. Hopefully, his travels through the Justice System will void any/all future attempts to seize self-destruction and emptiness. Lawrence, re-focus and embrace future opportunities to “right-the-ship.” :-)

It saddens me that someone who seemingly has a promising future, would risk it all and contribute to the drug problems here in our City rather than try to help improve things here.

Yes…it is sad. But I do not jump to conclusions about this man. Heck, I am 50 years old. When I was 19 years old, I had a full time job. I also owned a handgun. And guess what…I on more than one occasion got some weed for a friend or two.

I was never selling weed for the money…..and did not make a dime of profit….But I did get it for them. So, it was possible that if I was caught back then….I could have been charged with selling drugs and possessing a handgun.

My point is that marijuana is a harmless drug. Some people don’t like alcohol….They prefer weed. That’s the way it was with most of my friends when I was 18. And I can assure you….All of my friends back then worked full time. None of them were criminals. None of them were stealing or breaking into cars….Or committing any violent crime.

I am totally disgusted when I read about another young man, whose life is ruined simply because he has marijuana. It should be legal NOW. The only real crime about the above story is that this man’s life has been ruined. That’s the true crime.
