A Thursday night fire displaced two families from a double on General Taylor Street and damaged a vacant home around the corner on Willow Street, officials said.

The fire, which broke out after 9 p.m., primarily damaged the attic of the home on Willow and the rear of the home on General Taylor, said District Chief David Castle of the New Orleans Fire Department. No one was injured in the blaze.
