This year’s parade begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Young Men Olympian Junior Benevolent Association Hall, 2101 South Liberty Street, then loops over to Louisiana Avenue, down South Claiborne and Martin Luther King Boulevard, before ending where it started. The full route, via the Backstreet Cultural Museum, is below:

Start: Young Men Olympian Junior Benevolent Association, Inc. Hall, 2101 South Liberty St. Up South Liberty St. to Jackson Ave. Left on Jackson Ave. to Brainard St. Right on Brainard to Philip St. Continue on Philip St. to Baronne St. Up Baronne St. to Second St. Right on Second St. to Dryades.

Stop: Sportsman’s Lounge. Continue on Dryades St. Back to Second to Danneel St. Left on Danneel to Washington Ave. Right on Washington to LaSalle St. Up LaSalle St.

Stop: Jazzy Wings, 3328 LaSalle St. (On neutral ground). Up LaSalle St. to Louisiana Ave. Right on Louisiana Ave. to Willow Street. Out Willow to Louisiana Ave.

Stop: Big Man’s Lounge. Up Louisiana Ave. to S. Claiborne Ave. Right on S. Claiborne to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Out MLK.

Stop: Club S&S (formerly Club Bali, 2600 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Out MLK to Simon Bolivar. Right on Simon Bolivar to Jackson Ave. Right on Jackson Ave. to South Liberty St. Right on S. Liberty St. to Josephine St.

Disband: The Home of the Young Men Olympian, Jr. Benevolent Association, Inc. Hall, 2101 S. Liberty.

  1. I can always tell there has been a Second Line on Sunday because of the trash on Monday. Couldn’t the club provide clean up after these things?
